It shall be the mission of the Westlake Fire Department to professionally and effectively protect life and property through the prevention and/or suppression of fires and/or other emergencies, in addition to striving every day to improve the quality of life for all citizens.
Our Vision for Success
Every citizen deserves peace of mind, knowing their emergency service forces are always ready to be called to duty.
Emergency forces shall be trained and equipped to save lives and protect property. All personnel will be fit and ready with no delay to assist the public in a professional and courteous manner.
All personnel must be educated and trained to advise the public on methods to protect themselves from fire and other emergencies, and to provide information on services and the organization of this department.
This department’s management will properly plan and execute its resources to ensure maximum safety for the public and personnel. Responsibility will include management of the allocated revenue by the City Council and Fire Board, with a priority given to reducing fire insurance premiums.
